Bible Baptist Church of Kreamer
We believe the Bible, as originally written, to be divinely inspired , the totality of the sixty-six books being the result of the movement of the Spirit of God upon sovereignly selected men, with direction resulting in verbal inerrancy.
We further believe that the corporate volume of Scripture is divinely preserved against the inclusion of erroristic matter, and is intended to be the center of Christian union, and the supreme authority and standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried.
We believe that God has preserved His Word in the King James Version of the bible. Therefore, all ministries of Bible Baptist Church will use the King James Version of the Bible for all preaching, teaching, and bible memorization. (Psalm 12:6-7; Matthew 5:18, 24:35, John 10:35; 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe that there is only one living true God, as infinite and intelligent Spirit who is Creator and sovereign ruler of heaven and earth. He is inexpressibly glorious in holiness, and worthy of all possible honor, confidence and love.
We further believe that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of ansredemption. (Exodus 20:2,3; Matthew 28:19; John 16:7-15, 17:5; Ephesians 2:18; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Romans 11:33; 1 Timothy 1:17; Revelation 4:11)
God the Father:
We believe in God the Father, not as being the one God, but merely one distinction of the True God. (The Son has voluntarily elected to do the will of the Father in dependence upon the Spirit.) He is the Father of creation, Israel, Jesus Christ (not derivation or inferiority) and the believers. (Exodus 4:22; Malachi 2:10; John 20:17; Romans 8:15, 16)
We believe in the absolute deity, and humanity of Jesus Christ, His supernatural conception and virgin birth, His incapability to sin, His shed blood upon the cross for the remission of our sins, His vicarious death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father where he lives to make intercession for believers, and His visible return in the air for believers and bodily return to the earth to set up His earthly kingdom. (Matthew 4:1-11; Hebrews 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21; John 20; Acts 1:1-11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19, 20)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is divine person, equal with the Father and the Son and of the same substance and nature. That He convicts of sin, righteousness and judgement, bears witness to the truth, is the agent of the new birth, and that He seals, endues, guides, teaches, sanctifies and helps the believer, indwelling every true child of God. (Genesis 1:2; Matthew 28:19; John 3:5,6; 14:16; 16:7-11, 13; Acts 5:3,4; 1 Corinthians 12:7; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Romans 8:14-27; Ephesians 1:13, 14; 2 Thessalonians 2:7; Titus 3:5)
We believe that angels are created, spirit-being of various ranks and orders. This company of everlasting beings are superhuman in intellienge and strength. They were created holy and good but due to sin many fell from the holy state and are now confirmed in wickedness. Those who preserved their integrity are God's messengers whereas the fallen angels execute Satan's desires in hindering God's work and afflicting God's people. (Psalm 148:2, 5; Colossians 1:16; Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28; Hebrews 1:14)
We believe in the distinct personality of Satan, that he is the unholy god of this age, author of all powers of darkness and sin, and is destined to the judgement of an eternal justice in the lake of fire (Matthew 4:1-3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:2-10)
We accept the biblical account of the origin of the heavens and the earth in 6 literal 24 hour days, together with all forms of life. We believe that man came by direct creative act of God who made man in His own image on the sixth day. We therefore reject the idea of evolution in all its forms. (Genesis 1, 2; Exodus 20:11; Colossians 1:16, 17; John 1:3; Isaiah 43: 1, 7)
Man and Sin:
We believe that man was created in innocence under the law of his maker, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless and happy state in consequence of which all mankind are now sinners totally depraved, not only by constraint, but by choice. Mankind is, therefore, under just condemnation without excuse or defense.
We believe that man naturally is at enmity with God; that man naturally is spiritually dead in trespasses and sins; that man is wholly unrighteous; that man is totally incapable of saving himself. (Genesis 2:16-17, 3; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 1:18-32, 3:9-19, 5:12, 19; John 3:18, 36; Ephesians 2:1-9; Titus 3:4-5)
We believe that the only escape from the condemnation of sin is through the redemption wrought by Jesus Christ, when He voluntarily took upon Himself a human body and nature, yet without sin, and by His death made a full and vicarious atonement sufficient for all sinners and all sin; that His atonement consisted not in setting us an example of His death as a martyr, but was a voluntary substitution of Himself in the sinner's place, the just dying of the unjust. (Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 4:15; 1 John 2:2; 1 Peter 3:18)
We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must possess faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, this constituting the only condition of salvation. This faith is not worked for, or obtained by human effort, but by the inworking of the Holy Spirit revealing to man his lost condition and inability to save himself apart from Gods free grace. (Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 16:7, 8; Romans 11:6; Titus 3:3-7)
We believe that faith in Christ makes possible the new birth without which no man can enter God's Kingdom; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus; that it is instantaneous; that in the new birth the one dead in trespasses and sins is indwelt by the Holy Spirit and receives eternal life, the free gift of God, and is eternally secure in Christ. The new creation is brought about in a manner above our comprehension, solely by the power of Holy Spirit in connection with divine truth, so as to secure our voluntary obedience to the Gospel; that is proper evidence appears in the holy fruits of repentance, faith and newness of life. (John 3:3, 16; Romans 3:24, 8:33-39; 1 John 5:13; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10)
We believe that the child of God, in order to be judged of God as obedient to His Word, must govern his life, both private and public, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, by means of clear biblical principles. Whereas the bible does not list all of the present-day evils, it does specify that the Child of God should align all that he does with the glory of Jesus Christ and His testimony. Therefore, we believe, that the Child of God must abstain even form the mere appearance of evil, and that he is to be transformed into the instrument of the will of God, rather than to be conformed to the course of the world in any form. (2 Timothy 2:15; Colossians 3; 1 Thessalonians 5:15-24; Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6)
We believe that the true spiritual church is a new testament institution, unknown to the old testament prophets, established by Jesus Christ who is its sole head; empowered and perpetuated by the Holy Spirit; it is His "body" for service, and His "bride" for glory. It began with Pentecost following the ascension of Christ, and will be completed at the coming of Christ in the air to receive the church into glory. (Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-28; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
We believe that a local church is a congregation of immersed believers visible, illustrating the mystical and "invisible" world-wide spiritual church. The congregation is associated by covenant of faith and fellowship in the gospel. Observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges vested in them by God's Word. Its officers are pastors and deacons, whose qualifications, authority and duties are clearly defined in the scriptures.
We believe that he true mission of the church is the faithful witnessing of Christ to all men. We hold that that local church has the absolute right under Christ through the Holy Spirit. The local church is the only judge on all matters of tis membership, policy, discipline, benevolence, and fellowship. We believe that it is scriptural of new testament local churches to fellowship and cooperate one with another, and regarding this matter will of the local church is final. (Acts 2:41-42; Acts 15; 1 Corinthians 11:2; Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:11; Acts 20:17-28; 2 Timothy 3; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:23-24)
We believe that Christ left two ordinances for His church to practice, namely, baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water and is only to be administered to the believer in Christ. It sets forth in a solemn way our union by faith with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection to a new life. The Lord's Supper is the symbolic memorial feast by which we remember our Lord's death and the cleansing blood of the atonement, and with which we mark our continual fellowship with Him ever looking for His promised return. The Lord's Supper should be observed by baptized believers, and should always be preceded by careful self-examination. (Matthew 26:26-29, 28:19-20; Acts 2:38-42; 1 Corinthians 11:23-28)
We believe in the bodily, personal, and premillennial return of Jesus Christ; that He will appear in the air before the tribulation to transport His church to be with Himself. The He will come with His church at the close of the tribulation to judge the living nations and to set up His reign upon earth to last one thousand years. (Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 21:31-32; John 14:3; Acts 1:4; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Revelation 3:10, 19:11-20:10)
We believe in the resurrection of the body; that believers who die in Jesus will be raised at the coming of Christ for His church and caught up with transformed living saints to meet the Lord in the air. And that the wicked dead will be raised at the close of the Millennial Kingdom and stand in their bodies at the Great White Throne of judgement to receive their final doom. (1 Corinthians 15:12-58; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:4-5, 11-15)
We believe that civil government is of divine appointment for the interests and good order of human society, and the guarantee of liberty of conscience. This guarantee consists of absolute limitation of the government to the civil realm, not interfering with or influencing in the spiritual realm of the church. Believers are to pray for, honor, and obey civil government except in thing contrary to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, the only Lord of the conscience, and the coming Prince of the Kings of the earth. (Matthew 22:21; Acts 4:19-20, 5:29, Romans 13:1-7; 1 Timothy 2:1-4)
